Unlocking my purpose 3

The third chapter of Exodus is so powerful because in these verses we read about the moment where Moses’ purpose found him. Moses is sitting on the other side of his mistake. He has had to flee from his home in Egypt to go live in Midian where he’s been hiding out ever since he murdered an Egyptian. And while in Midian he’s doing the simple redundant task of herding sheep. Yet in the middle of his mundane routine Moses meets his purpose. While he’s going about his boring day-to-day life Moses sees the angel of the Lord appear to him out of a bush. What makes Moses special is not a specific set of skills or talents.
After all, Moses had a speech impediment. What makes Moses special is that he made himself available to God. In awe and reverence, Moses turned towards the bush, heeded God’s instructions, and went back to Egypt to walk in his purpose.
