When we come to Christ and start living for more than ourselves, we gain a huge target on our backs. We need to understand from scripture how to overcome the enemy!
“And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.” – Revelation 12:11
Every time we seem to make real advances for the kingdom just as quickly as things start moving in our favor, everything just as quickly seems to start to take a turn for the worse. Jesus said “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.” When we belonged to the world the enemy wasn’t against us because we were living for his kingdom. Now he hates us because we are living for God’s kingdom!
