God's Amazing Grace
Romans 3:23-24 says “. . . for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”
This means that by grace we are saved from all of our insufficiencies; that through grace, we are allowed to live freely in the world without the need to feel guilty of not being enough. Through Jesus Christ, we are free to be one with God and fully embody his resurrection. When my grandmother was saying “Grace is sufficient for you,” she was saying that I am free to live a full and beautiful life, despite my failings. She was saying that though you might doubt your worthiness and your merit, it doesn’t matter because grace covers you. I do not need any justification of my worth, because through grace, I am free. Grace is free. Grace is sufficient for you. Now go and be what God has called you to be.
