Learn Ways to De-Clutter and Add a Little Peace To Your Life 2 OF 3

Let’s explore how.

We have all been afforded the opportunity to have peace in our lives. (Isaiah 45:7) So there’s no reason we must live a life of chaos and clutter. After all, cleanliness is next to godliness. The first step to de-cluttering is to sit with our deepest most inner thoughts.  This might be a good time to invest in a journal.  Let’s dump everything in our mind out onto paper, releasing every worry and care.  Also, whatever your short and long term goals are, your journal will be a great place to jot those down as well.  Sometimes it helps to see things visually to be able to make sense of it all and be able to tackle them. Let’s get out thoughts organized.

Often times we think if we have the newest gadget, or can fill our closets with the latest trends we will feel good about life.  And because of this, we find ourselves having to constantly chase these pseudo good feelings, not realizing just how much we are accumulating.  It’s time to stop shopping folks. You don’t need another crock-pot to stuff in your kitchen cabinets or pair of jeans to add to the 50 you already own.  None of this will give you clarity or bring peace into you life.

“Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” Mark 10:21
