How to begin Again, PAGE 2

In life, we are often faced with many circumstances that force us to have to start over. There are plenty of times we will have to press that reboot button regardless if we want to or not. But what we have to focus on during those times are the blessings of starting over. It may not feel good to have to leave the familiar for something unknown. Yeah, your current job may pay well and you may get along with everyone, but if for whatever reason you’ve been hit with a pink slip, it’s not the end of the world. It’s just a detour to something better. And so what, she left you for someone else—think of it as God’s way of pointing you in another direction for someone who is going to cherish you.
Rather than get caught up in the leaving what you know behind, focus on what you are about to embark on ahead. God makes no mistakes, so if you are given an opportunity to start over, consider it a blessing. “The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22
It’s absolutely pointless to continue to pour energy into something that is broken or dead. Imagine just how much you can flourish when you put your energy into that new thing that’s waiting for you to accept and build. You’re able to now take the knowledge you’ve gained and pour it into something new. Whether it’s a new job, new relationship, new business venture, or even a new hobby. Starting over doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It simply means there is something more and better for you. So when you are faced with challenges of starting over, embrace the shift God bestowed on your life and accept all the newness his has put you in line for you to receive.
