I am Who God Says I am 3 of 3
Psalm 139 is so powerful because in it we hear David reminding
us of how God made us. He speaks to the intimacy that we have
with God. David acknowledges that God is closer to him than his
own thoughts and that there’s nowhere he can go where he could
escape His love. Today, meditate on who God says you are. He
knit you together in your mother’s womb, which means that He
is fully aware of the destiny buried within you. Unlike the
other voices that seek to grab your attention, God was there on
day one, holding you in the hollow of His hand. And God will stay
with you to the very end because He is invested in your growth
and your success. Verse 14 is a reminder that you are fearfully
and wonderfully made. You are the apple of His eye. You have to
believe that He sees your inward and outward beauty even when
no one else does.
Allow this psalm to resonate in your heart. You may have to journey
through the chaos of another day, but meditate on the truth of God’s
promise. You are worthy and deserving of whatever you are trying
to attain. When people try to ignore you or devalue you, begin to
speak Truth over your life. Verse 16 is a reminder that God knew
about the challenges you would face today before you were even
born, and because God knows what you’re dealing with, He’s also
equipped you to handle it, and He will be walking with you all along
the way. Be encouraged!
