The Key to A Turn-Around.
A few years ago I had a mentor in ministry who taught me a habit that I now hold near and dear to my heart. He taught me how to remind myself that any moment of despair was meant to be temporary. He said, "Nicholas, the devil may bring despair, but God has already given you a reason to hold on to hope. So whenever you're feeling down just say out loud that 'this is temporary.'" This one practice changed my life for the better. Now whenever I hear some bad news or have to face a setback, I boldly declare from the bottom of my heart that, "This is temporary!" I love today's sermon because it reminded me that God always has an expiration date for our struggles. I don't know what you might be going through this week, but you have to remember that anything the devil destroys God has the power to rebuild.
